We’re not pitching our services here, but really, a website can make your business look legit. Customers go online when looking for products and services – and if they come looking for you and you’re not there, they might think something’s up.
Tip: A website may be your only chance of making a good impression online so make sure that it looks professional and is optimised for different screens and gadgets.

Position yourself as an expert in your niche by sharing your knowledge and experience where it matters – your website blog.
Tip: Don’t make your blog all about you. Create content that will resonate with your audience. Make it beneficial for them. People love content that helps them solve a problem or provide them with value.
Improve your SEO
Anyone who’s anyone should be easily found in Google. With businesses, it’s the same thing. Make sure that your business gets some Google luvin’ by making sure that your website is designed for SEO.
Tip: It’s always helpful to run your website through an SEO audit tool. That way, you’ll know what’s missing in your website and see the areas that need improvement.
Get social on social media
Start using social media to reach out and engage with your target audience. But first, find out what social media platform your target audience prefers. Don’t just sell your services. Interact with your audience. Engage with them.
Tip: Join and create groups on Facebook, Google+, Linkedin and any platform relevant to your industry. Provide free advice, tips, and support to your audience. Answer their questions. Customers place a premium on engagement.
Highlight your past accomplishments
Customers sometimes evaluate businesses based on the past accomplishments of the owner. And that means you. They love to see figures and numbers. If you can’t provide those, then use superlatives. Use words such as “highest,” “first,” “best,” and more. Just think about it. Potential customers are looking over your About Us section. They’re probably looking to see if you’re someone they’d like to do business with.
Make your brand consistent
Inconsistency in your branding, especially in your marketing materials such as your logo or web design, has the potential to weaken your credibility with potential customers. Why? Because it makes your business look unprofessional.
Tip: Create a brand guide that will establish your business mission, voice, tone, font usage, graphic styles, etc that will keep your brand clear and consistent.
Use professional photos
Online users are very visual. For most customers, the photos and images on your website can be a reflection of the quality of your business. And so it makes total sense that professionals use professional photos.
And lastly, host a webinar
By hosting a webinar, you get to promote your business and showcase your expertise, products, and services. It also allows you to engage with your audience and again, establish yourself as an expert in your industry niche.
